**Soapberry Thorn Soaked in Alcohol, Cervical Spondylosis Be Gone!** A kind-hearted netizen (White Spirit in the Wind 4483936): Teacher Hu, I’d like to share a folk remedy with you. My mother has been using it with great results. She used to suffer from severe cervical spondylosis, to the point of frequent dizziness. In the past, she had to get injections when the pain became unbearable. Now, she soaks soapberry thorns in alcohol and drinks it. She’s been pain-free for three years, and this has been personally verified by her. Many people here use this method. Simply wash the thorns, soak them in high-proof alcohol for 30 days, and then drink it. The ratio is two pounds of soapberry thorns to ten pounds of alcohol (adjust the amount proportionally based on personal preference). I use a large glass jar, the kind used for making wine. The longer it soaks, the better—at least a month or more. My mother now only drinks a small amount occasionally, just a few sips, and the pain goes away. She drinks less than an ounce at a time, and only occasionally. After drinking it for a while, she no longer needs to take it daily, but it remains very effective. She hasn’t experienced any pain since. This remedy has been passed down from older generations, but we never tried it before. My mother only resorted to it when the pain became unbearable. To our surprise, it worked so well, so I’m sharing it with everyone. Contributed by: Teacher Shi
