Got a Cold and Fever? We've Got a Great Remedy! From a kind-hearted netizen (Spring Rain, QQ: 862089229): Hello, Teacher Hu, I have a folk remedy for treating colds and fevers caused by wind-cold. When my grandmother was alive, she once fell ill, and an old Chinese medicine practitioner cured her using this method. As a child, I was terrified of injections and medicine, so my mother often used this remedy to treat me. Here’s the method: Take 2 walnut kernels, a tablespoon of white sesame seeds, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar, and crush them together in a bowl. First, wash and boil dried daylily flowers in water. Then, pour the hot daylily water over the crushed walnut kernels, white sesame seeds, and rock sugar. Drink it while it's hot, cover yourself with a thick blanket, and sweat it out (make sure to sweat thoroughly). Use a dry towel to wipe off the sweat, then gradually let your body cool down. One dose is usually enough. I often recommend this remedy to people around me, and it works quite well. Shared by: Teacher Wang
