Boil ginger in water to stew chicken feathers, then use it to wipe the body or bathe to reduce fever!

Ginger and Chicken Feather Soup for Fever Relief! A kind-hearted netizen (username: Dragon Prince III, QQ: 512522204): Brother Hu Bing, here’s another remedy for treating colds and fevers without medication. Fever is actually caused by the blockage of skin pores, preventing the body from expelling internal heat. To address this, boil chicken feathers and ginger in water. Once the water boils, adjust the temperature to slightly hotter than your usual bathwater, then add half a pound of white liquor. Soak a towel in the mixture and vigorously rub the skin until it turns red all over. After bathing, quickly dry off with a large towel, get into bed, and cover yourself to induce sweating. Drink plenty of warm water. Once you start sweating, the fever will subside immediately. Dry off promptly after sweating. This method can reduce even a high fever of 42°C within three hours. Patients can use this method for two to three days. It’s suitable for people of all ages! Most people with colds and fever lose their appetite, so after bathing and waking up, you can prepare a simple mustard greens and sweet potato soup (without oil) and consume it for three consecutive days. Avoid sour, fishy, and spicy foods for 15 days. This remedy has been used in my family for over a century! During the SARS outbreak, I happened to be in Guangzhou. On the tenth day of the Lunar New Year, I was infected and experienced high fever and difficulty breathing that night. I immediately boiled water, took a bath to open my pores, and took my own herbal pills in large doses every two hours. I bathed at 8 PM, induced sweating, and by 10 PM, my fever had subsided, and my breathing returned to normal. By 3 AM, I began passing black, loose stools. The next day, I went to Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine to submit a letter to Zhong Nanshan, suggesting that treating wind (external pathogens) first would naturally calm the internal heat. I also recommended Huoxiang Zhengqi Water as a preventive measure for SARS, but my voice was too small to be heard. I hope this folk remedy can help others through this platform.
